Unknown: Juohmaru from Plawres Sanshiro Minifig Review

Probably same brand as God Mars (which is supposedly Decool but I'm having doubts right now).

Printing's fine. Plastic quality does remind me of Decool's Gwenpool and Green Deadpool, but I really can't tell if this guys'f rom Decool. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

Here's the back print.

Arm print.

He's printed all over! And it was done pretty nicely too! In terms of alignment specifically.

Supposedly, the previously released and very similarly made God Mars came from Decool, but right now I'm doubting it because of the legs.

From L-R, SY Daredevil, Juohmaru, and Decool Powerman. Those are ways to know which brand made the minifig. You can see how Juohmaru isn't like Decool's. Even the legs don't follow Decool's weird leg attachment molds.

I never saw this guy online. My local store, AngeloMarcus at Greenhills has them, and that's very interesting for me. Hoping to see more, and preferrably with characters more people are aware of haha.

  1. The lego differences might not be the best way to tell, as there was a wave ages ago where they had different hip pegs within a Decool wave.

    1. Yeah I understand, but the differences also doesn't help in proving that these are from Decool.. :/

  2. May this character has an ongoing TV series in China, maybe some local channels are having re-runs cartoons in the 90's to catch up. Maybe its a hit now in China, remember the Doctor Who minifigs that no one gives a ____? - Jpoks

  3. Well both this and God Mars were both originally released by Leqo Leqo. On the plus side does this mean there's a chance of a bootlegger copying their Kamen Rider Black RX?

    1. I'm honestly surprised they did this and God Mars and not Kamen Rider. Kamen Rider seems like a more popular franchise..

  4. I've 'borrowed' your pic for HeroBloks since there doesn't seem to be any elsewhere. Hope it's ok. I've left your watermark on.

  5. This is an old Japanese animation from the 70s. If you don't grow up with this, (so is God Mars) it's hard to appreciate them :) I've never seen this series though in my childhood. Not as famous as Voltes V :D

    1. yeah man really weird. Voltes V or Voltron would've been more expected choices since those are more popular like Kamen Rider, etc.. :/
