POGO PG1149: Voltron Minifig Review

Perfect enemy? Haha

Just a view from this angle. You can already see that the paint isn't consistent throughout the parts. You get what you pay for?

Let's start with "building" him. The helmet is actually comprised of two parts. The top part and the bottom part. Before attaching the head to the torso, attach the bottom helmet to the head first; this will make things easier for you. The you're free to attach it to the torso or even the top part of the helmet already.

Thankfully the forehead print is large enough for the top part of the helmet to cover everything without leaving an awkward gap.

Moving on, the arms I think are the worst part. The main reason is because the paint on them don't look too good. Some of the reds and greens are a bit faded.

Thankfully we have side prints though! You can see how the paint on some the parts aren't too good from these angles too.

His wings are comprised of two pieces. The backpack piece with one stud at the back and the unique mold that attaches to it. In front of it, there's print on the wings. Check the pictures above for the print!

Of course, he also comes with this sword.

Another angle. The torso and leg prints are pretty good though. It's maybe a bit better than the usual POGO fig.

The back view without the wings.

If you want him in his bigger form, you can check out HSANHE's version or Lepin's. Although I'd recommend waiting for the official IDEAS version which I'm sure will be much better and will be a must-have if you're a Voltron fan!

Generally, he's an okay fig. He's not great. I think POGO's Heimdall is a better example of a minifig with new and unique molds. Though to be fair, Heimdall only has one color for his armor while Voltron is very colorful.
I still think you get what you pay for. That's not a bad thing considering the price of this guy. I do hope Koruit's presence affects POGO and makes them improve their unique figs like this!

Oh I also got these Voltron Pilots minifigs from AngeloMarcus Greenhills a few months back. Maybe you guys want to set this guy up with them! I think this one's of better quality than those pilots though, even though the pilots were pretty simple.

UPDATE:

A look at the hands. They're different from usual hands because 1) the mold/shape is different and 2) the pegs don't have rims that'll lock the hand in place, it just relies on friction for the most part. It's still a good fit though and is not loose.
