DeleteFINALLY! But also, damn, I think some of my MOCs look better. That is definitely the wrong hair for Ward. Shame no Hunter, Trip, Mac, or YoYo, though.

DeleteInteresting that most of the designs don't come from the usual sources. Maybe we'll get a different wave of these figures from another brand in the future.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they're original designs from them.. I'm afraid that at some point we'll run out of custom designers so if they can design these things themselves, then it'll be better!
DeleteEspecially because so many custom designers are shutting down now that all these Bootleg brands are copying them. I guess when it comes down to buying something that's not real Lego either way, people would rather pay $1 than sometimes up to $50.

ReplyDeleteAny scoop on the Grant Ward figure? I can't find the source. I don't even recognise the outfit from the series. Is it even Grant or are Xinh guessing?
ReplyDeleteSame, and it’s really bothering me. It looks more like something Trip would have worn, but even then, nothing. Every photo from the series or MOC I can find has him in either a suit or just a leather jacket and jeans.
DeleteYeah he doesn't seem like Ward to me.. I don't even remember seeing anything like that outfit in the shows/movies.. I'll be buying a couple of those though for generic SHIELD soldiers

I came across a Melinda May and a Daisy Johnson on eBay possibly from Xinh or KL (no brand was listed for them, but the vendor seemed to have these two brands). Have you seen them? They didn't look that great, but it's hard to tell from a picture... Thanks, love the blog!
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen those. Maybe they were MOCs? I think some Ebay sellers mix and match parts then sell them there as new characters. Someone even messaged me before because they saw an ebay seller sell a Jackal minifig that was almost identical to my MOC Jackal haha
