Thanks to Lud and Scotty for the heads up!
Turns out there's more than one Steamage set! I previewed the big mech in the blog before, but these are the others.

Very interesting designs! Not too sure about WINNER's quality, but they've been around for a while now.

I have some of the Fantasy Westward Journey minifigs from Winner 5050 and 5051, the quality of the bricks, minifigs, and printing is in general very good. There was one issue with the Monkey King's "hair" piece in 5050A though. It's meant to have a golden rim printed around the opening for the face (see https://i.ytimg.com/vi/1S695QXV_PA/maxresdefault.jpg for how it's meant to be), but in my case this printing was shifted by a few mm to the side. It doesn't look bad, like a golden strand of hair, but obviously it's not the way it should be.
ReplyDeleteAs these are really just minifigs with a small diorama it's difficult to judge whether the structures of the Steampunk vehicles are going to be solid or not.
Best, Oederland
Good to know that at least the general quality is very good! But yeah, the structures being solid or not is the real issue.. Just like some of Lepin and DLP's sets looking good in picture but apparently not sturdy or well-built and easily collapses lol
DeleteI dont know what those sets are all about, but they are coooooool!
ReplyDeleteNifty! Not a single female minifig though?
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI've just received the train set, and it's one of my favorite set ever. The mechanism is great, allthough a bit rusty and the overall size bigger than I innitialy thought.
Do you know where I can downloaed the Building Instructions ?
