A really good set. I have one main issue that's probably an isolated case: my red Spartan didn't come with an arm. It sucks cause it has prints, but that's also a pro about the design.
They all came with metal guns. Not metal coated, but truly metal. They're heavy compared to the usual minifig, plastic guns, but the arms can hold them properly. The hands might be a different story though as the metal handles seemed a bit too thick. Generally though, while the guns are great in terms of detailing and all that, I don't think they fit in nicely with minifigs especially since the scale is off.
Now for the figs themselves. They're relatively simple and that's a great thing. The helmet's mouth area seems a bit off at certain angles, but it doesn't ruin the fig. The print quality is good and the plastic for the armor and helmet are pretty good too. It's also worth noting that their designs are actually different and not just recolors, how cool is that??
The arms get side prints which is highly appreciated and makes the figs look more futuristic.
The back has minimal to no printing but the armor and helmet have mold details that still make the fig look like Spartans even from the back.
Underneath the helmets we get faces! Yay! They're all different too which means you could source some heads from these guys and replace them with faceless heads if you plan on keeping the helmet on.
Underneath the armor there's barely anything. For yellow and red, there's a bit of print to complement the armor.
Legs get minimal back printing too.
A huge deal, and a great idea: removable visors. This will allow us to fully customize our Spartans even more. Even in the games, you could change the visor color of your Spartan. What was weird though was that the visors were just printed on with colors as opposed to being molded in the color already. (The visor's mold in the picture is red but it's painted blue.)
A view of a Spartan without the visor. The mouth is visible but it's not a big deal for me. Also, I just added a spare arm to red Spartan with no print. You could also find a grey/silver arm and pretend it's a robotic arm since there's at least one Spartan already that has the same setup.
I'm hoping the others arrive in AngeloMarcus Greenhills soon and that Kopf actually makes more Spartan figs. Another on my wishlist is that we get accurate Halo guns in minifig plastic as opposed to metal; those'll be more fun to collect.
