POGO PG8164: Play Arts Kai Doctor Strange and Supergirl, Dawnbreaker, and More Marvel/DC Minifigs Review

From the angles I'm showing, they might look okay, but they're still using the same thick printing recent POGO superheroes have been receiving. Thankfully, POGO has improved it by having more defined and thinner designs. Still, certain designs can't accomodate the thick prints well.

Harley's hat is a removable accessory but it had trouble staying in place.. Solution would be to glue or remove it entirely.

Thankfully we get side prints on both arms and legs!

Same comments about the back prints. No alternate faces.

For the two surprised minifigs: Play Arts Kai variants of Doctor Strange and Supergirl. I don't know why POGO chose to make these guys because it's an attack not just at TLG but at Play-Arts as well.. Still, the designs look great. POGO's implementation though? Well, they could be better but they're also not horrible.

I love the accessories so far though. Green transparent printed shield pieces for the Time stone anyone? Supergirl's sword is also the first time we're seeing that in that color.

Is the thick printing more noticeable in these images now? If it's not, then that's good! But if you do hold them and look at them closely, you'll see that signature POGO printing.

Sides have a great amount of detail which would've looked even better without the thick prints. Also, that's another look at the magic piece included with Doctor Strange!

Dawnbreaker's ring accessory has a relatively large scratch; I've noticed this a lot with POGO's Lantern minifigs.. The other accessories are alright.

It must be weird for Dawn to be sitting right beside Dawnbreaker.. But anyway, quality is the same. For characters like Dawnbreaker and Dawn which have more intricate and more dense designs, the thick prints start to become more apparent.

Dawnbreaker comes with rubber goggles that are removable. Be careful though because they don't look too durable. Underneath the helmet is this awkward phase.. I would've been happy with a whole white top face, but hey, this works too.

Thankfully the eyes on the head align and actually make him look better, but it doesn't matter if you intend to put the goggles down.

Chrome gold pieces for Flash's helmet, yay! The sides also have good details, but implementation isn't so good as you guys can see.

It's the same deal for the back.

I'm glad that POGO decided to improve their thick printings, but why bother improving that when they can simply revert to the old ways of printing their minifigs? Additionally, their other themes (non-superheroes) are fine when it comes to printing.. I'm really confused why POGO is giving their superheroes not-so-good printing.. especially since majority of their initial releases are superhero themed..

I'm still hopeful that POGO improves their quality. These are undeniably interesting designs, even for the variants. If POGO improves in quality, and coupled with their great quantity, then they will certainly be the top brand.
