WM WM691, WM695-WM697: 4 of 8 Toy Story 4 Minifigs Review

There's four more of them from the same set but I only got these ones for now!

WM691 - Buzz Lightyear with Army Man
WM695 - Bunny
WM696 - Bo Peep
WM697 - Gabby Gabby

Two issues right out of trying to build them: head doesn't connect all the way to Bunny and the clear half-dome doesn't attach to Buzz's flight pack.

Huge plastic nub on Bunny's head too.

Prints are pretty good and the general look and feel of the plastic was also great.

The neck seems a bit deformed though, right? But I also tried the Bunny head with another minifigure body and it had the same problem of not being able to connect all the way down. I think my Bunny minifig has a thick neck and a tight head.

Now for Buzz.

Army Man looks and feels great too! Simple but I like it!

When I removed Buzz's head and tried to put on the dome piece, it worked. The head was probably obstructing the dome piece from getting in there OR I'm just horrible at putting them together. I think that still matters though because if I can't build him properly then what about younger kids?

The prints were good for the most part but the wings had some issues. Misaligned red stripes and some green marks here and there.

I almost got this stuck in her arm! (One of the worst things that could happen to a minifigures!) The arm's hole was a bit too tight, I think, that when I tried to force the hand into it, I guess I didn't do it at the right angle and it bent the hand. Luckily I was able to remove it before it got stuck in there.

Gabby Gabby! Overall a good figure. Other than that hand problem, the other is a "normal" problem minifigures with waist accessories have. Because of the thick waist accessory, the attachment of the legs to the torso becomes less sturdy.

Bo Peep! No issues with her at all, thankfully.

Unless you count this one: non-matching skin prints with the plastic mold. Even Lego does this though. (But sometimes alternative brands actually improve on this, though in this case WM doesn't.)

The hair piece is really cute and that bowtie is well printed.

Print Quality: 5/5
Maybe a 3 for Buzz for having messed up wings.

Plastic Quality: 4/5
Generally great but then we have those hand problems. I don't wanna give it that low of a grade in case it was just me being horrible with attaching them.

Build Quality: 2/5
Difficult time building them because of the issues you saw above.

Design Choice: 2/5
They're the first alternative brand to release Toy Story figures, at least these specific variants, so that counts for something. Though these are Lego's designs and if you want the best quality, just get Lego's.

Worth it? I'm not sure how much the authentic Lego minifigures are but we're pretty sure they're more expensive by a lot. If you're looking for budget minifigures from Toy Story then these guys might be worth it, just be wary of poor quality control.

Does this make me look down on WM? Nah. Quality control issues are still a thing for brands like WM because they're still a budget brand. You get what you pay for basically, but thankfully and for most times with WM, we get more than what we pay for! Just look at the recent WM minifigures!

But for those in Manila, AngeloMarcus Greenhills already has this and I think some of the other ones from the same set! There you can at least see them before buying and watch out for quality control issues.
