Wasn't able to get XP212 - Robert Baratheon or the one that looks like a king. You can see him in the preview post here though.
XP213 - Baratheon Bannerman
XP214 - Gendry
XP215 - Baratheon Bannerman
XP216 - Baratheon Bannerman
XP217 - Baratheon Bannerman
XP219 - Baratheon Bannerman
XP219 - Baratheon Bannerman
The Archer looks like this.
All the other Bannermen are practically identical other than their weapons and faces. Is that a problem? Nah especially since they really have to look the same anyway!
They all came (except the Archer which came with just a one-hole cape and the unique characters) with two cape pieces: one regular grey cape and this orange unique-shaped one.
This is the inner part, I assume, of the cape. It has a softer feel to it similar to other capes from other brands.
And that's how you place the orange capes on them.
The base minifigure. Again, this is the same for lots of the other guys in the set.
Most of them also came with these shields. While the base minifigures had great print and plastic quality, I don't think the same applies for these shields. The orange prints on them isn't as bold as other prints and appeared inconsistently among the shields I received. In addition to the prints, the plastic mold of the shield isn't perfect too with the middle one getting a more visible nub on the side and the others having also reasonably visible plastic nubs.
The helmets though are really good, fortunately! No prints but they're not necessary.
Plus, they fit the minifigure heads properly! Not too tight and not too loose.
Here's Gendry. He might seem like an odd-one-out in the set but if you watch Game of Thrones, then you know having him here still makes sense.
These are the weapons they came with and I think lots of medieval and similar collectors have been very thankful for KORUIT's many unique weapon molds!
Overall, I think these figs are 5/5 except for the subpar shields. The print quality for the base minifigures was really superb. The plastic quality for the base minifigures and the accessories were also pretty great! Build quality was also pretty good with easily connectible parts and accessories; I also like the weapons scale more now versus some older KORUIT figs that had arguably oversized designs. Lastly, for design choice, these are perfect because we haven't gotten these designs yet and are exclusively designed by KORUIT, as far as I know.
I think KORUIT is back to making great minifigures. For a while it seemed like they had a downgrade but these are absolutely good and remind me of their first waves of figures. Check out more Koruit figs in our set list!
Next time I'll pass by AngeloMarcus Greenhills, I'll see if the king/Robert Baratheon is still available so I can get him and complete the set! And yes, these have been available in their store for quite a while now.

are the lannisters coming too? When?
ReplyDeleteIs there any way you can stop shilling for your local store in EVERY SINGLE ARTICLE? I like the reviews and stuff, but seeing is I would imagine most of your audience isn't even in your same country, there's no point in saying "Angelo Marcus GreenHills" in EVERY SINGLE PIECE.
ReplyDeleteShut up. If you dont like it go someplace else. He works hard on this site and is the most in touch with these types of figures.
DeleteI don't care if the deal he worked out with Angelo is to mention him in every article as long as it helps keep this blog alive.
DeleteFine then, lost a subscriber. If he's shilling for the store he should own up to it like every other blogger out there does. If not, then he's just a moron. See ya.

DeleteTrue lannisters and a few other families would be nice even if it were just an archer and a knight from some of the other houses.
ReplyDeleteHave anyone informations about other game of thrones figures who are in productions? Lannisters/Geyjoy/Tryell/Bolton?
