Lepin 07076: Spider-man Homecoming Beware the Vulture Preview

We rarely get superhero themes from Lepin compared to other brands. I guess Spider-Man is such a big deal that they couldn't pass on it.

It's exactly like TLG's. Or at least they tried to. (Versus Sheng Yuan's modified sets)

Oh and, numbered bags! Yay!

Let's compare the three Vulture minifigs I have. On the left is XINH, then Lepin, then Lele.
Which do you prefer? I bet most of you prefer the XINH one because it's the most accurate! Lepin's helmet is Boba/Jango Fett's helmet mold while Lele's printing seems zoomed in. (And Lele's doesn't have back print anymore)

Just a group shot of their mech wings. Lele's is the smallest one while the middle one is my MOC Vulture as seen here. Then of course at the right is Lepin's. Lele's wings can be seen here!
In terms of Lepin's mech wings, I have zero problems with it. The plastic felt great, it wasn't a pain to build, nothing loose; it's great!

Back view of the Lepin wings. The plastic quality is great, but the stickers aren't as good as Sheng Yuan for example. I sticked it to the back part and they already seemed like they had air bubbles even though it was a one-time-application..

Truck time.

It's a well build truck! I won't be focusing on it much though anymore. It's practically identical to TLG's anyway!

The three other minifigs.

Great printed phone, btw, Spider-Man!

Throughout this section of the review, left minifig = Lepin, right minifig = other brand (XINH-DLP-Kopf/Dargo)

Lepin's Iron Man just had too much eyeliner.. Hahaha. Other than that, the whole minifig is alright. XINH's is much preferred because of the extra details and seemingly finer details.

Interesting that Lepin chose to use grey hips, I assume that the logistics in manufacturing would've been more difficult with using grey hips instead of red/maroon.

No face, just like TLG's.

The on on the right is one from DLP.

Biggest difference would be side arm prints. I prefer Lepin's in this one!

It's also worth noting that Lepin at least painted all over the legs for the red legs versus DLP who just painted front and back. (Which is weird because DLP has released a lot of great designs with side leg prints that are much more complicated but still made pretty well!

You can see Lepin's torso being a bit small though, as in you can still see the bezels around the torso versus DLP's wherein it seems like the torso print fit nicely on the torso piece.

Which do you prefer? Well, I honestly think it's best to mix both. If not, then both are still pretty alright!

On the right is supposedly Kopf Shocker, but the baseplate he came with is the same as Dargo's baseplates AND his code includes "DA" [which could be short for Dargo, but I'm not super sure].

Lepin's gauntlets have a more silver look to it, and I like it.

Side prints.

The extra parts. Yay!

The set also came with three of these which is pretty great!!

TL;DR - It's a great set. Bricks are great but as usual, the minifigs could be better. Lepin doesn't make bad minifigs though, but they're not great too. And yes, they're no good when it comes to [some] new molds..

  1. Hi, is the Lepin Vulture wings the same with the DLP ones that recently came out?

    1. No, sadly. The DLP wings have less parts. Especially the part where the wings and the circle things are attached too which makes articulation very very very limited.

(DLP fig is the best among all the bootlego Vultures so far though)

I'll try to get a review up in a day or two!
