POGO PG282, PG284-PG287, PG289: Clock King, Justice League, and Other DC Minifigs Review

The only ones I haven't seen in person from the set are Cyborg and Classic Loki!

A great set really.
PG282 - Dr. Harleen Quinzel
PG284 - Clock King
PG285 - Superman (1936)
PG286 - Aquaman (JL 2017 Movie)
PG287 - Batman (JL 2017 Movie)
PG289 - Scarecrow (TLBM)

No issues here! Just some minor print alignments. Superman's leg printings though seemed small, and it's a shame his legs aren't dual molded..

Not dual molded legs = looks horrible...

Cape.

Back view.

Do note that Batman's mask-eyes are silver-y. I love them. It's a shame though that...

..one of the faces' eyes aren't aligned well.. See picture.

The other face though was perfectly fine.

Scarecrow and Clock King. Scarecrow's face seemed lower than usual, but hey he's a scarecrow so I guess it's okay..

There's an inconsistency with the white print on Clock King's face as seen in the picture. Is it the same with you guys?

Side print. Scarecrow has different prints per arm. Clock King has printed clocks on his arms.

If I'm not mistaken, Clock King uses Gingerbread Man's mold for the head.. Also, that's the alternate face for Scarecrow.

If you look closely, you will see that the yellow also isn't consistent with Scarecrow's "hair" but at least that part of the hair is barely visible.

Dr. Harleen Quinzel and Khal Drogo Aquaman!

Harley comes with a clipboard while Aquaman has a black trident with black lightsaber hilt to extend the trident!

The printing in real life looks much sharper.

Nothing on the sides.

Back view.

What was very odd, and this is usually the case with bootlego brands, is that one fig from the same set can have dual molded legs while another won't have dual molded legs.. Harley Quinn and Superman are examples. Superman would've looked much better with dual molded legs, but he didn't get them even though we clearly know that POGO can dual mold anyway (with Harley as the proof)..

TL;DR - It's a good buy! One of the better POGO sets! I hope they keep improving!

Got them from AngeloMarcus Greenhills for those interested! Go there ASAP before you run out of stocks!

  1. Isn't their "dual-molding" just spray painted? I can see some white parts on the black part of her leg and same goes with their other releases with two toned legs?

    1. Yeah sometimes that's the case, but there are also legitimate dual molded bootlegos.. This Harley though was the painted type, but still looked okay at least. My point is though that, if it's painted on then what's the excuse for not "dual molding" superman's/others' legs :(

    2. Yeah it does suck that they didn't bother to paint his sides even though the custom figure they were trying to copy does have side printing.

  2. Again, Pogo does not have dual molded legs. They can't do it.

If legs are dual molded there is clear border with very tiny gap between the colors. And the line should be a perfect curve. Pogo sometimes colors legs well, bit still it never looks like dual mold.
