WM531 - Sailor Moon
The two Sailor Moon figs. Both are great! The hair mold could be better, but it's not bad: the only issue I have with it is the nub on the scalp, but other than that it's fine. I'm not too sure about durability, but the long hair molds seemed sturdy enough and didn't bend.
Side view. Perfect hair piece for Sailor Moon?
Back view of the hair.
Their alternate faces; the one on the right might be useful for even non-Sailor Moon figs. It's great to see that the great details on the front are retained in the sides and the back.
Two more good figs! It's worth noting that the right fig's hair piece is super tight. It was difficult putting it on and removing it.
While everything else is great, I hate that the skin is slapped on.. Still better than using flesh colored molds with white printed on it.
Side view. They even got the high heels printed on! Nice job!
Back view. Good quality prints too!
Three more great figs!
No high heels for these two though? Not sure if that's accurate or not.
Alternate faces and back prints!
Now I'll focus on this fig separately for a while.. This fig is really weird.. and I don't mean the design. The design is perfectly fine, and the quality for the most part, but it's very inconsistent.. If you look closely at the head, it's got the line on the head mold that's similar to Lele's new figs. Additionally, the legs are different from one another.. It's not too noticeable in picture, but in person the two have different shades of black and different gloss and the other is more loose, too loose. One of the arms is also loose, but the gloss and all seemed the same with the other. Glad it's plain old black parts though that are easily replaceable.
Perhaps another issue is how the flesh prints don't look too good on darker molds, but I don't think they're horrible too.

Hopefully I helped in making you decide if you want this or Kopf's, I think though that getting this one won't make it a loss for you! For Philippine readers, AngeloMarcus Greenhills recently stocked up on these so I recommend passing by if you guys really want this. I think demand's pretty big!

NICE. So glad they're this well done.
ReplyDelete*waits rather impatiently for their arrival in the mails*
Mine arrived today, and I have to say, I am very impressed.
ReplyDeleteI'm really surprised at how well the hair molds are done, no lines or anything on any of them. I think the nub on the scalp of your Sailor Moon might have been a quality issue, mine don't seem to have them - well, one has a slight trace of one but its barely noticeable.
