PG1312 - Zero

I think that most, if not all, Mega Man fans were happy to see the preview, but when it comes to POGO, we always have to wait if they'll deliver. Sometimes POGO previews some pretty epic designs but end up not being so good in terms of quality.. As a summary, I think that the some of the figs in this set are bearable and the others might not be good enough to your standards. I think that they're still worth getting as Mega Man fans though since it's rare for us to see such a theme in minifig form.

Let's start with this Mega Man. I want to call him just plain old Mega Man but his helmet uses X's helmet. A possible explanation though is that POGO simply used the same mold as X since making a new mold that's still somehow similar.. They should've at least removed the red on the helmet.

Moving on, quality is average, maybe a bit below average. It's certainly better than some of POGO's previous mascot figs. I'm just glad that the prints on the molds align for the most part and that the prints are bearable. Oh and he comes with an extra hand.

Do note that it took a bit of force to fully insert the Mega Buster. It scared me quite a bit and I actually left it not fully inserted for a while, but after a few more tries it finally got in.

The buster seems a bit too big? The plastic felt solid for the most part, but the gloss really makes it look cheap. The prints on the other hand are pretty average and could be quite acceptable.

The Mega Buster isn't hollow inside, unfortunately, but they did print on the top to make it seem like the Mega Buster's barrell. Unfortunately the mold's inconsistent shape especially on the tip prevented a consistent print as well.

Side views. The helmet's prints are surprisingly good since they're well-aligned. The legs also get side prints which are arguably essential because Megaman's legs kinda add a lot to his overall design.

View of the back. Too bad that the leg prints don't go all around the legs though.

PG1309 - Mega Man Legends
PG1310 - Mega Man ZX Advent
PG1311 - Mega Man ZX

Now for these three. I've got the same comments about them regarding quality except Mega Man ZX's helmet suffers a bit more when it comes to the print quality on the helmet as you can see from the scratches on that arrow.

Side views with side leg prints too that maybe could've been better. Great helmet molds though.

Back view. Some helmet print issues here and there..

The two ZX characters came with these weapons and I'm loving the sword but the pistol could've been better.

As you can see here, there's no real handle for minifig hands.. There's a bit of space near the grey/silver handle for the hand but the grip isn't as fitting as it could've been. Overall the gun looks nice but it's just impractical unless you glue it to the minifig hand. (If yours is fine, let us know; maybe mine was an isolated mistake.)

Now for Legends, the Mega Buster mold is good for the most part, but the print had some issues as you can see (the other side has a similar mold but no yellow print). The main issue though is that it was and still is very difficult to fully insert the Mega Buster into the arm.. Might need more force but it's quite scary to do so since it feels like it'll break or bend..

So there's 4 more left. So far AngeloMarcus Greenhills only has these 4 and that's probably POGO's fault because their release schedules/practices have always been weird, along with other brands.

Generally worth it if you're Mega Man fans and if you want the parts. Are they display material? Ummm, maybe. I wouldn't say 100% but maybe. I hope the pictures helped you in deciding if they're worth it.

  1. I agree quality is pretty bad. My buster had no issues going in though. My helmet on one is loose fitting. I had one with a loose arm. I also had issues with the hands being hard to put in compared to other figs. I would avoid these unless you like megaman.
