This set also includes the Sheriff Deadpool SDCC variant but AngeloMarcus Greenhills didn't stock up on that anymore. My guess on why is because the other brands' releases are probably better in terms of quality. Though to be fair, so far only POGO has the correct hat mold for that Deadpool variant because the other brands used generic hats.
Two issues out of the box: Wonder Woman's head and Batwoman's hair are very loose. Solution? Small amount of tape on the neck/helmet to make them thicker.
POGO was very generous with the accessories which is always welcome.
But while accessories are great, the quality of the figs are not aspects that POGO wants to be generous about.. The prints are using the same type of thick printing as seen in previous POGO superheroes. While it has improved, similar to my last review, it's still very noticeable in certain characters..
I'm glad that POGO at least printed on the sides. I see some slapped on prints but they're not too bad since these aren't sleeves-on-flesh though.
Deathstroke's swords were also weird.. Are these intended or is that a defect on my other sword.. I prefer it though, especially considering that I have tons of extra swords anyway.
Now if you look at this and then the first picture of Deathstroke, you'll notice that the front and back are identical! Abs on his back, wow Deathstroke, you've got a great workout routine! But anyway, if this is an isolated case, let me know.. Though this is proof that POGO's quality control is not so good, but hey, look at the price you're paying for.
A closer look at Batgirl's face underneath the mask. The thick prints are really noticeable on her eyes if you see this in person.
Now for Red Hood and Yellow Lantern Superman. They were generous again with the accessories, I guess. Red Hood comes with a unique-to-POGO [so far] SMG and a strange launcher weapon..? Superman comes with a clear 1x1 round flat piece that I assue should've been the ring, but didn't come with prints.
Red Hood's launcher can be removed into two.. But I'm not sure if there's supposed to be a play feature here or anything..
For the minifigs themselves, well it's the same comment regarding quality and the thick prints.
Man with proper quality, these figs would've been amazing.
No alternate faces.
So my review of these in terms of quality is pretty much the same as my previous review. Right now though, I can't wait for the day that I'm finally praising POGO.

Use clear nail polish for loose parts, works better than tape.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you.
DeleteTransparent nail polish works like a charm!
The launcher is a real weapon called a LAW (light antitank weapon) and is a really good model as it opens like the real thing. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M72_LAW
ReplyDeleteAnother way to fix loose heads is to apply a little bit of glue inside the head (on the walls) and let it dry. That might be a bit more permanent of a solution as tape could possibly come off.
