POGO PG8194: Mr. 8, Toxin, Frost Giant Thor, Robin the Toy Wonder, and Other Marvel/DC Minifigs Review
First previewed here!
PG1701 - Mister 08
PG1702 - Thor (Frost Giant)
PG1703 - Killer Frost
PG1704 - Punisher x Spider-Man
PG1705 - Toxin
PG1706 - Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)
PG1707 - Robin Toy Wonder
If I'm not mistaken, AngeloMarcus Greenhills didn't get stocks of the Dark Knight of the Round Table yet.
Toy Wonder's hair is super loose and it's because of the head since the hair had normal grip on other minifig heads.
POGO also has a Toxin bigfig, but I prefer him in minifig scale.
Robbie Reyes was also made by POGO before, and while this design seems better, the quality of the other was surely preferred.
My Ghost Rider was missing the hair piece. Additionally, the face prints looks really faded.
Added my own spare flame head.
PG8194 Grading
Plastic Quality: 2.5/5
Plastic felt light and cheap. I think the bad prints also contribute into making the plastic feel less good.
Print Quality: 1/5
Horrible. Thick printing again. Wrong shades or faded prints at times. Just horrible; you would know if you have any of the recent POGO superheroes.
Build Quality: 2/5
The articulation didn't feel too good as well; the arms and legs didn't move smoothly and the hands are barely movable. No extra hands too.
Design Choice: 4/5
Some variants there, but still really good looking designs. What's sad is that they look great but the implementation was horrible. :(
I wonder why POGO is downgrading their superhero minifigs while the other themes are better (might not be great but definitely better than POGO's superheroes).
