This was actually previewed way back in November and attracted much more attention and scandal because these designs were made by Youtubers, which of course means they made videos about them including a response to POGO's stealing. More information here.
The designs are great and I really hope the quality is good so that the great designs are given justice at the least. The YouTubers who made these did only make the designs digitally, as far as I know, and not in minifig form.
Some designers have expressed that they're okay with bootleggers making their figs (from digital to real minifigs) because they never would've been able to and they'll be able to get them for cheap. Though others have been really hostile toward bootleggers which is also highly understandable given that some other people are making money off of their own designs. Though for everyone else out there, the least you could do is remember the designers and give them proper credit and support by following their works and maybe even buying from them if possible.
