They were first previewed as box figs but ended up as single-sale figs as well. More information here.
PG2065 - Thanos
PG2066 - Hulkbuster (Black and Gold)
PG2070 - Venom (2018 movie?)
We're not sure which Venom variant that is, but it's possible that it's the same as the 2018 movie version because of the lack of the Spider logo on the chest and the fact that POGO doesn't have one yet (?). Though another possibility is that POGO simply reused their mold and printed another Venom design on it.
I love the details on the figs, but I wish that POGO had better manufacturing tools to take advantage of their good-looking designs.
The pegs on these figs are the usual POGO bigfig pegs and unlike the usual bigfig from other brands. I'm not a fan of this because if those pegs break, and there are numerous cases that they have, then there's no way to fix them anymore other than glue.
Perhaps one of my favorite Gauntlets? It seems like they ran out of purple paint though as the Power stone is colorless/gold. Such an unfortunate case.
Head is also removable using POGO pegs. Helmet too!
Unfortunately, the helmet does not fit on the usual hairless bigfig head. (On the picture is Sheng Yuan's Fantastic Four The Thing bigfig.)
For the Hulkbuster, and I assume it will be the same for the other Hulkbusters of different colors that POGO previewed, there's a peg inside the dome-shaped helmet that can accomodate a minifig head.
Here's a War Machine helmet, also from POGO, inside the helmet.
It doesn't close all the way down because the [War Machine] minifig helmet is too tall while the [Hulkbuster] bigfig helmet is too short.
I guess that's not so much a problem because this will remain closed for the most part.
Normal minifig heads have no problem inside.
So does POGO do justice to these excellent Marvel characters? For the price, maybe, but then again there are other brands such as Decool that has given us great Iron Monger and Whiplash bigfigs that are sold at similar prices. POGO in this case is again focusing on quantity over quality because as you have already seen and I bet will continue to see, lots of molds will be reused with different prints. I mean, the Venom here isn't even a Venom mold and this Hulkbuster has already been previewed with at least 4 other color schemes.
Still, let's take a look at how we graded these bigfigs.
Plastic Quality: 2.5/5
The plastic felt rather cheap and a bit too light. It reminded me of older cheap toys that kids would be happy with but collectors wouldn't. Though what's more concerning is that the pegs seem to be of low quality as well; some readers of the site have already suggested that we should lubricate the pegs before attaching the parts to prevent it from breaking after moving. I highly recommend this as to prevent yourself from becoming one of the many collectors that have broken POGO bigfigs. (Though to be fair, these new ones seem more sturdy than POGO's first batches of bigfigs.)
Print Quality: 3/5
I don't really know how to negatively describe the prints on these bigfigs, but it probably has something to with the poor plastic quality that affects how we see the prints. Though there are some scratches here and there on the figs, but this is normal with the brands we're used too. As far as POGO goes, these aren't bad (because lots of POGO figs have misprints, etc.).
Build Quality: 2/5
It's a shame that POGO didn't choose to follow the usual bigfig template. This prevents customization and even poses issues of durability as we've mentioned. Thanos' helmet too was a bit too tight for the head which could end up scratching the head piece. Building these guys just weren't as satisfying as building from other brands.
Design Choice: 4/5
I honestly like the idea of the Hulkbuster. I wish it was implemented better though, but given the size and proportional constraints, I guess this was good enough. As for Thanos, if the head looked better and the overall quality was better too, then I would've considered this the best Thanos; design-wise it's just great! Venom is meh.
Are these guys worth it? Maybe for completionists. If you're displaying them from a distance too, then maybe they're worth it. I wouldn't recommend these to kids for play though because of the potential durability issues you might encounter. From a personal perspective, I would still love to collect these bigfigs, and that's not just because I manage this site but because the designs are really good; implementation on the other hand is still something we hope that POGO will improve along with their quality control.
And hey, at least they're barely Avengers Endgame variants, right?
UPDATE:
I forgot to mention that Thanos' head is looking too low; as in his eyes/face is pointing almost at the floor.
