Decool 0314, 0315: Iron Monger and Whiplash Bigfigs Review

The whips have printing too, damn!

Great detail.

It's not as obvious in the pictures, but those metallic tubes are colored different from the main mold which is really really great. The prints were also aligned properly. Great quality control.

Yes, they can step on plates! Contrary to other Sheng Yuan bigfigs like their Thanos bigfigs, among others.

These ones aren't really TLG system accessories, but the ability to remove them is a great plus especially for MOCers who might want Iron Monger's arms.

This is why I prefer these over Sheng Yuan's recent Hulkbusters (MK 44 and Igor). The compatibility with other bigfig parts is great, and they fit nicely. Decool was able to apply the TLG system perfectly for these guys. (With Iron Monger is Kopf's Hulkbuster or DLP's Hulkbuster; they might be identical.)

The heads are also removable, but I had a very very difficult time removing them; well actually, I failed to remove them while reviewing. I guess that's a good thing for some, but is great that they're removable. The size of the neck peg seemed to be the same as a minifig neck's, but I still have to confirm again. Wish me luck in trying to detach the head lol.

Plastic Quality: 5/5

They are amazing. No plastic nubs or at least they're not noticeable. These are really just great, the weight and feel are also great. No problems here.

Print Quality: 5/5

Eyes, metal parts, whips, "lights," they're all well-printed which is a surprise since the molds are relatively complicated compared to printing on minifig molds.

Build Quality: 4.5/5

There's a deduction because of the really difficult to remove head. Other than that though, this was a breeze to build. Some brands' bigfigs are even difficult to assemble, but I had no issues with these. Articulation had no problems as well. I guess we would've loved to see Whiplash whips, but it's not that big of a deal for me. Great to see those removable guns for Monger though.

Design Choice: 5/5

But they're variants? Well, yeah but these are new bigfigs in new molds and I'm loving them!

It's really difficult not to recommend these.

AngeloMarcus Greenhills already has these; when I found out they had them in stock I had to rush there despite being busy for the day because I was afraid they'd run out of stock.. They're just that good! I'm sure they'll restock though when the time arises.
