I'll get to the point: these are amazing. Some minor issues here and there but the good points of these figs just largely outweigh the bad parts.
Presenting: DC's Dark Nights Metal alternate universe Batman villains in minifigure form!
WM665 - Red Death
WM666 - The Merciless
WM667 - The Drowned
WM668 - Murder Machine
WM669 - The Batman Who Laughs
WM670 - Dawnbreaker
First previewed here!
We gotta start with bad news though, kinda. Red Death and The Merciless came with extra heads with faces! Great bonus considering you probably won't even use them, but Red Death's spare head was printed on backwards, lol!
The accessories.
The Merciless' sword is one of the best minifig accessories or weapons I have ever seen. Great printing and great mold.
The faces underneath. I'm so glad the eyes align with the helmets!
Accessories for The Drowned and Dawnbreaker. Drowned's trident is also a great piece of weaponry!
Dawnbreaker's face print might be a bit low? But not enough to make him look horrible.
Yeah, Dawnbreaker's face looks off but with the helmet on, he looks absolutely fine.
Accessories for The Batman Who Laughs and Murder Machine.
No complaints again.
Batman Who Laughs' face print does look off, but I think WM had to do it that way to make him look decent with the helmet on, which I think is a nice trade anyway.
These figures are amazing. For around a dollar each, man these are such good deals. Based on these figs, and even some of WM's past unique mold figs, I think we can name WM the king of unique molds. Sound good? The molds are real plastic (not the rubber type materials we sometimes see), feel sturdy, and don't have huge snubs or marks. Additionally, the prints are also excellent!
Another reason to love these is that these are supposedly original designs from WM; other designers have their own versions but WM at the least altered the designs or was simply inspired by the designs and at most probably started from scratch and was inspired by just the source material.
AngeloMarcus Greenhills had lots of new arrivals today but these were the ones I rushed to build, and that's coming from a Marvel fan. (Just to be clear, I love DC as well but I focus on collecting Marvel mainly because collecting DC requires too much time, space, and even money now haha)
What might stop me from recommending these figs? Probably some minor quality control issues like smudges or scratches on the prints, but again, for the price these are absolutely great.

Great cop! The sword of The Merciless and the trident of The Drowned are beautiful and unique!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I want to get those I never tried ordering on that Chinese website (not sure if tax is included and if it will ship directly to your address) so I'm gonna wait for the blog of your next visit at AngeloMarcus. Maybe they'll have those in stock in the near future :)
