Kinda regret not watching it when it was in the cinema. Found it funny that people criticized it for having too much monster screen time; I think the people behind the movie just knew their audience. Hopefully I'll enjoy it when I'm finally able to watch it.
Sluban is also one of the legit brands out there since they don't copy other companies' designs and they even have their own version of minifigures. I'm not sure though if these Godzilla sets are official or if they're "inspired" by them. If you're into Kaijus though, then don't forget to check out Sluban's Pacific Rim mech builds which looked great and hopefully scale properly with these guys.

The pacific rim mechs from Sluban are *fantastic* in terms of design, detail, and bang for your buck. Brick consistency is not as good as many other brands, but it was only an issue with one of the 4 jaegers i built (caused a warped spine, but was able to sand some blocks down to resolve). According to the measurements on the manuals they'd be compatible with these, which is very exciting :)
ReplyDeleteSome interesting building technique involved, and Rodan actually looks fairly good... but Godzilla's never had that combination of colors all at once, but I can't understand why they rendered King Ghidorah in green for some reason?
