JINRUN has been around for a while now but I wasn't ever interested in anything I've seen from them and I also barely see them. Then I saw this and thought it's about time I tried the brand out.
Just some box shots.
Before anything, what makes these special?
Ant-Man gets a unique helmet and Hulk gets printed time machines on his fists.
So far, only XINH has achieved the same helmet quality as Lego's in terms of having transparent red visors on the plastic helmet. I guess JINRUN couldn't do it too so they did this and they're the first to ever use this method for Ant-Man.
Hulk and his time machine. That's what Stark made in the movie but I'm not sure if it's supposed to only appear on one hand or both.
Usually unknown or low-end brands don't even bother to print on the back but JINRUN did!
The bigfig has build issues though mainly that gap in between the front and back half.
Removable hair though! Though you can also ssee more plastic nub marks (around the back of his neck).
There's also a plastic nub mark below his mouth.
This piece was horrible in terms of plastic quality. Poor grip and foggy material.
Ant-Man's arm (just one of them) also has a plastic deformity.
I've definitely seen worse from other low end brands and was actually surprised to see that these are passable. Still not as good as the usual minifigure brands though.
JINRUN JR970
Plastic quality: 2.5/5
Maybe a bit lower too but I'll deduct that from the build quality instead. There are some deformities here and there through the presence of plastic nubs. Plus, the whole minifigure just felt a bit cheaper than what we're used to, and we're already used to cheap-feeling figs.
Print Quality: 3/5
I think the prints are pretty decent. They might look even better if they were printed on better plastic.
Build quality: 2/5
You saw how horrible the Hulk bigfig was in terms of staying together lol. The articulation felt off too for both of them since they would be loose at some angles but stiff at other angles. The legs of Ant-Man also have alignment issues.
Design Choice: 2/5
More variants. They're just getting points for Ant-Man's new helmet. I wouldn't even consider the Hulk time machines as interesting enough to be worth getting.
Overall, I'm just glad to finally try the JINRUN brand. It's nowhere near XINH or WM or Kopf in terms of quality yet but am hoping to see it improve. As such, it being difficult to find shouldn't be too much of an issue since you're not really gonna miss out if you can't buy this.
Just a special mention: I really found JLB's, another low-end brand, Ant-Man with Kylo Ren helmet! Lol!

Ive been sent Jinrun "Accidentally" before when ordering Sheng Yuan. They seem to have the same prints but on inferior plastic. (Sponge Bob earlier sets are exactly the same, as are some of their ironman sets. But the plastic is dimpled and soft)
