PRCK 64020: Spider-Man Far from Home Molten Man Battle Knockoff Set Review

Do you miss Lepin's Marvel sets? Well it seems PRCK is trying to create clones or knockoffs of our favorite superhero sets while Lepin is gone. How do you think they are?

I hate these huge boxes that contain just small bags! So much space wasted, and that means more costs.. I feel like if they used more compact packaging, PRCK would've saved some money and maybe we could get even cheaper sets.

Numbered bags! I had to open all the #1 bags though; it wasn't a 1 bag per set thing.

The stickers are decent in terms of print quality and how they stick but following the instructions was a bit frustrating because the stickers don't have labels. This only matters for the molten prints which do have some minor differences.

Now this was even more frustrating! The chain was packaged this way. You have to connect them one by one and that many times! Thankfully, I had nails at the time long enough to assist my connecting. It took a while though. I was also missing one link but it wasn't such a big deal for me.

The extra parts. Didn't build the web pieces anymore.

No missing parts!

Arguably the only plastic/build issue for me: the bent orange sticks. Honestly, it's not a big deal for this specific build because that's supposed to be lava flowing down and bent lines should be fine. Though for future PRCK sets that require similar parts, I hope they find a way to fix this. You could try bending them but in past experiences, doing so gives the pieces those white pressure marks.

I found this part on Moltenman's arm a bit awkward and restricting to its articulation.

JANGBricks says these gold prints/paint are really thick but for PRCK, it seems faded at some angles. Nonetheless, they still make the lava design work!

There's something about this head design that looks off but at the same time looks good. It does provide reasonable articulation at least, which I think is essential for this character and what he was doing in the movie.

Here's an issue that I think Lego doesn't have. The mold provided by PRCK has that spot on it that PRCK simply printed. You wouldn't notice it from a distance though. You can see here though how decent the prints are.

Generally though, the plastic quality is pretty good along with the prints and the stickers. I was a bit apprehensive at first because PRCK is related to Lele and Lele doesn't have a great track record with quality. They have been improving recently and this set is a testament to that.

The Firefighter is a boring figure compared to the superheroes we're getting but he's a real life hero and doesn't have variants outside of this set, afaik. (Meaning XINH, POGO, etc. never made one.)

The silver prints on the Firefighter could look a bit better but it's not horrible.

On the left is PRCK's Mysterio while on the right is Lego's Mysterio.
PRCK's helmet is a bit more foggy than Lego's which is pretty clear considering the thickness of the mold; I think it being foggy works in favor of PRCK though since it gives that more mist-ish look for Mysterio that he did have in the movie.

The main difference is that PRCK is just using yellow while Lego is trying to make it gold.

Capes are also different in color and Lego's cape is thicker and feels softer.

Without looking too close, I think this Molten-Man mech looks identical to Lego's Molten-Man.

I highly recommend checking out JANGBricks' review of the authentic Lego set review; he has a lot of good points in terms of design which I think would apply the same to this PRCK clone set.

Oh and again, PRCK is related to Lele which should matter to some people. (Lele has been improving and this is a good indicator of that.)

For around USD10-15 on AliExpress, I guess it's not a bad set. Lego's goes for USD30 which might be worth it to some people. I do recommend just getting the original for the best quality while supporting both Lego and Marvel. Though I also understand that USD30 might be too much for some and it's even more expensive in other countries, especially third world countries like where I'm at, that have relatively huge markups for Lego products.

  1. I don't know if I buy this PRCK set or try the Bela 11313, or even wait to see if decool will copy this set.
