KORUIT KT1034: Star Wars Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, 501st Clone Trooper, and More Trooper Minifigures Review

First previewed here.

The best brand for army building Clone Troopers and Stormtroopers?

Let's start with these two Stormtroopers. First off, I'm glad we're seeing these Stormtrooper designs instead of the one from Star Wars Rebels.

I love that the armor pieces have the two studs at the back, but at the same time we're kept from seeing the back prints. Still, I'm glad KORUIT decided to print back prints even though they designed the armor pieces.

The guns' details are great, but these two don't seem to be Star Wars guns. Plus, like the other guns in the set, they seem to be out of scale.

The gun is so big that a mech build can probably use it as its weapon.

The figures also have this generic male face.

And again, they all have prints underneath the armor in case you don't like the bulky look that these troopers have! Thanks, KORUIT!

This Darth Vader is packed with detail, but do you think it's too much?

Because of the armor, cape, and bottom portion of the helmet, Vader's neck seems a bit too long.

That's a lot of parts.

KORUIT KT1034 Grading:

Print Quality: 4.5/5
Mostly perfect prints! Though there are issues with some alignments especially with the helmets. Hopefully nothing too bad or noticeable though.

Plastic Quality: 5/5
This is amazing! Even the guns are of great quality!

Build Quality: 4/5
Great articulation and build process for the figs. Even for Vader this is the case and he has a lot of parts! The deduction mainly comes from the guns though since they're mostly out of scale.

Design Choice: --
Can't really grade them based on design. The guns, I already addressed above, but the characters themselves are pretty difficult to judge since they're made for army building. I do hope we see more of the Clone battalions soon.

There's already a second set of designs coming soon. Have a look at it before you decide what you really wanna army build! For those in the Philippines, do visit AngeloMarcus Greenhills to see better how the guns look since my camera wasn't able to capture it as good as I would've preferred.

  1. To me, the regular Stormtroopers are closer to the Rebels version though it's possible they're using the 2019 redesign print ... the print is off from the official 2014 and older minifigs. First Order troopers are slightly off from official in terms of helmet printing, but it's much better than other "KO's" from others.
Kind of iffy about the armour, as I'm not big on the lack of back print ... but then again, perhaps they'll work for specialized units instead of the entire army. As for the Clonetroopers, they look good with the armour, though not entirely sure what squad/battalion the red ones are from. (Perhaps Red Mist / Fordo's Fist from the 401st)

  2. That's a nice looking vader. Makes me very curious to see what holo vader turns out.
I still think we need a classic look holo leia.
