On the left is WM's Mandalorian with Baby Yoda (there's also a Beskar armor variant of Mando with Baby Yoda from WM) while on the right is Kopf's Mandalorian with Baby Yoda. The middle minifig is the first Baby Yoda fig we've seen that we reviewed here.
Which one's cuter? I say WM's, but the detail on Kopf's looks much better. To be fair though, Kopf's Baby Yoday just looks like a tiny Yoda and not a baby.
Thankfully no parts were loose and even the capes were of decent quality.
WM's Baby Yoda had a damaged ear though. I guess this happened during transport considering that the ears are too thin at the edges. Hopefully it doesn't happen to yours.
Now for the Mandalorian minifigures. I perfer Kopf's mainly cause of the better helmet design. I'm not sure what went wrong with WM's Mandalorian helmet prints (and not just for this one but for their other Mandalorian minifigures too) since their preview images had good looking helmets/visors.
WM's Mando gets a Magnum from the Halo series lol.
Kopf's comes with a generic face.
Nice of Kopf and WM to have back prints despite having capes/back accessories.
Just for comparison, here's Baby Yoda with another Baby from another universe.
Quality-wise, I've mostly got no problems with both brands. Though it's worth noting that the hand quality of WM figs have seem to have gotten worse since they get white stress marks when you put thick items, if not just regular items, on their hands. (Could be replaced though at least). Design-wise, it'll be up to preference and I'm glad that both companies are now creating different designs from one another because in the past, they'd release almost identical ones.
Again, be careful with Baby Yoda's ears though as they're fragile (cause they're naturally thin) and can easily get deformed.
If you buy from physical stores like I do from AngeloMarcus Greenhills, I recommend checking the bag first before making the purchase to make sure you get the best quality fig.
