KORUIT KT1038: Crimson Dyanamo, Winter Soldier, and More Black Widow 2020 Minifigures Review

Let's start with the 4 Black Widow minifigure variants. The four of them came with a gun and two batons. The batons seem to be new molds!

Two batons each and one gun. The Age of Ultron Black Widow came with a transparent blue baton.

In terms of quality, I've got no issues with these four. Design-wise, they all look good but 4 of the same character in one set is a bit tiring. We could've at least gotten a Yelena Black Widow, right? And we already had a lot of the AoU Black Widow get released in the past.

 No alternate faces, unfortunately.

 Taskmaster  came with 3 different weapons. It's a lot and could be enough, but the character can handle more weapons!

 This guy looks great. No issues at all other than a small nub on the hood, but that's not a big deal.

 He has "teeth" printing on his mouth too that should be more visible in person.

 Just right that there's no alternate face cause he sometimes doesn't have his hood on in the trailers.

 For the two shield-wielding minifigures. Quality-wise, no problems again.

 Would've loved a helmet with Red Guardian. But maybe we'll get a better variant if the movie has some flashback scenes featuring a younger Red Guardian.

 There are a number of Crimson Dynamo designs in the Marvel comics universe, and this is just one of them. I don't think it's the more iconic one, but I think it's recognizable enough.

 Those aren't nipples, I hope.

 Can't wait to see this!

Can't wait to see if Taskmaster has a Mjolnir replica!

Plastic Quality: 5/5

Maybe 4.5 just for the occassional nub on the hoods.

Print Quality: 5/5

Even alignment of prints was good for the most part. Shields also often have prints that aren't centered, but these ones are pretty good.

Build Quality: 5/5

Articulation is great! The hands also fit well, which isn't the case for some other KORUIT figures though.

Design Choice: 4/5

Most are great, but I'm not a fan of having 4 Black Widow minifigures. Hopefully their next Marvel set has more new and unique characters.

KORUIT continues to impress us. We actually think these figures are improvements to some other recent KORUIT minifigures. It's also great that KORUIT designs their own minifigures, I only wish they made more new characters too.

XINH also has a similar set.

Was able to just borrow these figures from a friend for review. Haven't gone out to shop yet unfortunately, but AngeloMarcus Greenhills does have these guys in stock already! If you visit them, please wear a mask and practice physical distancing!
