WM WM6095: Star Wars Clone Wars Bad Batch/Clone Force 99 And Other Clone Troopers Minifigures Review

First previewed here; the link is also the preview of another Clone Wars set of minifigures, which includes Echo!

WM2001 - Wrecker (Bad Batch/Clone Force 99)
WM2002 - Crosshair (Bad Batch/Clone Force 99)
WM2003 - Hunter (Bad Batch/Clone Force 99)
WM2004 - Tech (Bad Batch/Clone Force 99)
WM2005 - Rex
WM2006 - Commander Cody
WM2007 - Jesse
WM2008 - Ahsoka's Clone Troopers

These are the guns they came with. The pistols aren't accurate since those look like Rey's blaster in the Sequel trilogy. I also find it weird that Tech is using Lego molded guns instead of the custom guns that the others came with. Loving the knives too, meaning WM really did their research on these characters.

What I'll be saying here will more or less apply to everyone else in the set and wow it's mostly good stuff. These figures are so well-designed that I really picked them up even if I focus on the Marvel line. Then, as soon as I got them, I was surprised at how great the prints are. I don't see any misalignments which is common when you have complicated designs especially on curved surfaces like helmets.

Even the backpacks look great. The plastic also feels sturdy and doesn't feel cheap at all, along with the base minifigure and the helmet.

Even though WM designed them with backpacks in mind, they still printed on the backs really well! Plus, even printed their faces. The Bad Batch canonically has distinct faces and wow WM was able to capture them.

(Those are single printed; I just flipped the head.)

Same comments as the first two. Amazing! Tech is probably the highlight of the set though. That helmet is a new mold and it has a removable and movable visor just like he does in the Star Wars Clone Wars series.

Arguably, this Tech minifigure might be better than upcoming and existing custom Lego Tech minifigures just because the mass produced helmet is so good.

Movable visors!

The arm prints aren't even mirrored; some of the characters of the set have different left and right arms. Great job.

Crooked backpack? Nah, I just didn't notice while taking a picture.

More detailed faces!

This is how their backpacks attach which is why it's possible for them to be crooked. I really prefer it this way as you can use the backpacks as props in your Lego Star Wars Clone Wars builds.

Moving on to the "regular" Clones. Before anything though, some of them came with cloth pieces that are relatively highly detailed. The only [small] problem is you'll need to fold them into shape which is a bit frustrating in the start, but I'm sure can look better in time.

Wrong guns again for Captain Rex and Commander Cody. Rex is sporting two magnums from the Halo video games while Cody is also using Rey's pistols.

Guns aside, these two Lego clone trooper leaders are amazing! I love the mix of the battle scars and they're not over-applied unlike some designs.

I just realized that I wasn't able to take pictures of Rex' legs without the cloth; nonetheless, the details are there and they look great!

I love the helmets so much! Btw, that visor on Cody's helmet is removable.

Now for Jesse and the 501st Clone trooper with Ahsoka marking.

Jesse's guns look right for Clone Troopers. I'm not sure about the 501st trooper though.

Again, detailed helmet prints are often crooked or misaligned for KO Lego minifigures, but these didn't have issues.

Jesse's "backpack" is a bit corny but I think it works and he ends up looking more like his counterpart in the Star Wars Clone Wars series.

And again, great face prints!

One of my favorite figures of all time, not just Bad Batch but everyone from this set.

What I love the most about these minifigures is that they're "original" designs, as in WM supposedly designed them themselves. They based the designs off of the show instead of already-existing minifigures. Plus, we've got some new molds too! The guns might have been ripped off of a different brand though.

So do I recommend these? Definitely! Great print AND plastic quality. Accessories are great! Head prints are surprising and definitely welcome. There's also that originality which allows for some guilt-free custom minifigures.

AliExpress currently doesn't sell minifigures, so your next alternative is worldminifigs.com, it's WM's official site. So far we've heard nothing but good news, though I have to say that I was expecting lower prices since we're dealing directly with the supplier now; though I think they had a recent promo on their site. Hopefully we see more promos and even lower base prices soon.

I recommend using a new password for your account because security is in their hands and not on a more secure network like AliExpress (supposedly).

Kopf also has their own website store, minifiguresmall.com.

For those in the Philippines, AngeloMarcus Greenhills is back in business! Just practice proper physical distancing when visiting the store, or any store actually.

  1. This is amazing. That's the 2nd only time any bootleg manufacturer decided to do quality control on their helmet prints, the other being SY's early clones. And body printing is great. Amazing job considering their disastrous mando helmet prints in recent waves

  2. Excellent figures, although mine came with heads stuck on the bodies that wouldnt not come off.... had to actually use pliers to twist them off, and even then it was hard. This seems to be a new ongoing issue with WM figures. One Samurai head got dented, and so tried these with a tshirt... 2 worked, one worked but smudged the face print -_-

  3. Aliexpress is definitely still selling minifigs, including these, as i have ordered them. What has changed is that the pictures are only of the heads. I didnt realise they came with backpacks until i read the review

  4. "The guns might have been ripped off of a different brand though." - All pirated BrickArms weapons, apart from the obvious LEGO rip-offs

  5. Well it looks like the knockoffs now have surpassed lego in the details of printing which is kind of sad. Lego needs to up their game
