KORUIT KT1044: MCU Thor's Asgardian Warriors and Berserkers (Hela's Undead Soldiers) Minifigures Preview
Had a short chat with KORUIT before and they were asking for some suggestions. They were fond of minifigures that are ripe for army building and I was fond of Marvel; at the time, Thor Ragnarok was also new so I suggested these guys. Plus, no 3rd party designers had these at the time. I wanna say these were my suggestions, but maybe others suggested them as well. It felt good too that they were asking for design suggestions, not screenshots or images of existing minifigures from other designers. (Because they really design most, but probably all, their minifigures from scratch.)
For those in the PH, AngeloMarcus Greenhills is already open and they've been getting new minifigure releases too. Just practice proper physical distancing when you're there or any store.

DeleteWell, kinda. Sometimes brands ask me and their customers what we think they should make but they don't always follow it. That's because they have to make thousands of one single design so they have to make sure that they sell well.
DeleteSome brands also like getting full designs already, as if they were decals, so they don't have to do the designs anymore but KORUIT never did it that way (they design their own) so I just told them about these warriors from the movie (without needing to send minifigure designs).
But as Unknown states, it's easier if you're in China and that's where the real requests are granted. (They have chinese forums that I can't find)
It would be cool, if Koruit or WM did minifigures of Ghostbusters characters. They would have sold well in terms of the sequel's release. I think this is especially true for figures based on characters from the dilogy (like Vigo and Gozer).

ReplyDeleteWhat about an army builder of Judge Dredd Judges, that would be amazing from Koruit!
ReplyDeleteWould be able to re-use the helmet mould, and the shoulder pad mould, print different designs with the judge badge names on the torso, and mould unique weapons.
DeleteAlso if they re-used the armour from their warhammer release, and changed the colour to brown, they could pretty much print an abc warrior on standard torso/head with the armour adding the required shape.
DeleteJudge death would be welcomed, and would probably sell well, but there wouldn't be much re-use for the moulds needed
DeleteDredd sounds like a good idea for KORUIT minifigures. Maybe for WM too since they're pretty good at making molds too.

ReplyDeleteThese look amazing but almost all the minifigures I got from Koruit had loose heads, I don't know if it's universal or had been been fixed but it was quite annoying because their prints are amazing but I can't use them because they're too floppy. BTW: A suggestion for more minifigures from Koruit is samurai minifigures,like WM did, I would love to see Koruit making their own designs for samurai and Japanese minifigures
ReplyDeletei have had every Koruit minifigures and so far i can only tell the gondor soldiers to be having loose neck connection, also the first wave of Nodor Elves had loose helmet to head connection. otherwise, they're all seem good, maybe you just run into some worse batch of them all.

Mine would be Lord of the Rings, but my rope overall would be Warhammer Fantasy, the factions that could be created are awesome! I would love to know of ways to get in contact with Koruit so if you know of any I’d appreciate the info thanks!
