Previewed it here way back.
Again, I won't be reviewing the mechs since I don't have the time to build them, unfortunately. The biggest thing to note though is that the mechs do not have minifigures. They are just mech bodys with minifigure heads/helmets. The parts were also decent in terms of quality, and I definitely look forward to more interesting builds from SX.
The plastic bags also had very visible number labels which aren't really needed for small builds. Still, I appreciate that SX cares for the build experience of its customers by providing the numbers.
Let's start with Ancient One vs Thanos and Nebula vs Hulk. The heads are from the mechs, again, they didn't have minifigure bodies included.
Generally, the print quality on these minifigures are good. The plastic also felt and looked good. They're probably in between the quality of XINH and POGO, but definitely better than the recent DLP minifigures in my opinion. Design-wise, they're Lego knockoffs but Ancient One is a bit of a unique design and it honestly looks good, other than a face that sometimes looks off.
Thank you, SX, for still making back prints. Lots of Chinese Lego-alternative brands have been removing back prints so seeing SX keep them is great news. (Although, this set might be a bit older than other Chinese Lego-alternative minifigures that don't have back prints.)
Now it's Outrider vs Captain America and Chitauri Soldier vs Ronin/Hawkeye. The Outrider didn't come with the extra arms on its back and the Chitauri didn't come with its iconic rifle. For Cap and Hawkeye, I'm glad they came with helmets instead of just being plain heads; having helmets will definitely make the mech look better.
SX's human face prints really look off, but at least these ones came with helmets.
Now for Outrider vs Iron Man and Ebony Maw vs Rescue. The Iron Man helmets are horrible; they don't have chin prints, the eyes look off, and Rescue's colors look weird. Lots of Chinese Lego-knockoff brands have a hard time making Iron Man helmets, and unfortunately SX is no exception.
Oops, forgot to turn the Iron Man heads, but they look just like any other Iron Man helmet from the back.
Now for the only fig worth getting on this set, in my opinion. This is Orange Venom vs Spider-Man and Loki vs Thor. At first, I thought this Symbiote minifigure was Phage, but it seems like it's more just a Venom minifigure with orange details (I could be wrong). Loki is pretty standard and that specific design has been seen from other brands.
Overall, in terms of quality, SX is pretty good! The biggest cons are the Iron Man helmets, boring designs, and off-looking faces. With a little improvement, I think they can be a great minifigure brand and could honestly compete with DLP especially following DLP's decrease in quality.
