Photon or Spectrum or Monica Rambeau (whichever you wanna call her) came with this coat, but I'll keep it off for the rest of the review.
My two most anticipated minifigures from this set: Speed and Wiccan. These two have great designs and great plastic/print quality! Only thing that I sometimes dislike is that the face print on Speed (and other XINH minifigures) looks off.
Yes, Wiccan comes with a hard-plastic cape! I love it! The biggest disadvantage of these hard capes though is that they might be harder to display because they'll take up more space; this is a bigger problem for the two figures below.
No alternate face prints, but at least we still have back prints.
Agatha Harkness came with a Spark dog figure which I think is a generous bonus from XINH. Quicksilver also comes with those blast pieces that is probably heavily inspired by Flash from Lego's CMF.
Love the hair pieces on these two! I believe this is the first time we're seeing them! (Quicksilver's hair in that color at least.) Again, no issues on quality. The faces here look much better than Speed's too.
Yay for back leg prints!
Love the hair accessory for Scarlet Witch! I think it's a lot better than what Kopf and WM have released in the past (although both those brands are going to be releasing new variants of Wanda at least). Generally, there's still no problem with print and plastic quality other than maybe the whites on Spectrum looking a bit faded.
The worst thing, design-wise, for many XINH figures are the arm prints that are "slapped on" instead of all-around. Hopefully, XINH can go with dual-molding in future minifigures.
Without the hair accessory, Wanda's hair piece will look weird.
Another angle for the slapped on arm prints.
More, new hard-plastic capes! Biggest cons of these capes: they take up more space and make head-removal more difficult. Because the collars end up covering the back part of the head, there's less space for us to pull the head from the torso. This might not be an issue sometimes, but eventually we might end up with a tight fitting head and it'll make us hesitant to pull the head out to not break the cape.
Display and space-wise, look at how the cape hits the stud on the back of Vision. This won't be a problem if you've got tiles instead of plates surrounding your minifigure, but if you do have studs around minifigures with this kind of cape, they'll be leaning forward a bit just so they can stand.
While I did present two arguably big problems for these hard-plastic, with-collar capes, I can't deny that they look good from all angles!
I love the quality on these, and am even more excited for their wave 2 of Wandavision minifigures!
Other than some issues with hard plastic capes, I highly recommend these minifigures! Hopefully, we're able to see some adjustments with the capes and how they can fit the "Lego System" by making sure that the parts don't overlap with typical plates. Nonetheless, I welcome the experimenting and uniqueness of molds that XINH has been doing!
