Kopf KF499, KF511: SDCC Sheriff Deadpool and SDCC Black Lightning Minifig Clones Preview

First previewed here!

KF499 - Sheriff Deadpool
KF511 - Black Lightning

Two very good clones if you ask me!

For comparison, here are the official ones!

The originals go for at least USD200 for Black Lightning and USD300 for Sheriff Deadpool [as of August 8, 2018, please search on your own if you wanna be certain]. Of course, these two will be much better than any clone, but that's including that huge price difference. For people who just wanna collect and don't care about resale value, these Kopf ones are definitely great options.

One major difference is Kopf's Sheriff Deadpool hat is different from TLG's. Probably because that mold is unique.

TLG didn't include any accessories with their SDCC minifigs, just like last year's Duckpool, as far as I know. Thankfully, Kopf included two SMGs with removable silencers and a lightning bolt piece with these two! Additionally, even the two swords and one swordpack wasn't present with TLG, but it is with Kopf's!

Quality wise, no complaints. Only real issue I found was with the hat mold, but at least the colors are good. Other than that, plastic and print were superb. Even the tiny circles/dots/details on Black Lightning's torso are there!

Nothing much on the sides, like TLG's.

Sword pack comes with Kopf, not with TLG.

View of the back. No alternate faces. Good quality even at the back though!

These are the backs of the authentic SDCC ones.
Kopf's not too accurate at the back, but at least they did a good job even though they did the back blind.

Side note, in case someone is having a hard time putting the moustache accessory on Deadpool, take both out of the torso first, then stick the accessory underneath the head, then attach to the body.
Moustache -> Head -> Body

Again, these two are really good. Kopf did a great job for these SDCC clones just like last year's Duckpool. I'm hoping the other SDCC figs that haven't been made yet, *ehem Black Suit Spiderman ehem*, get made too!
For people who want these two but don't wanna shell out hundreds of dollars, these two are good alternatives. Additionally, some collectors actually have the real SDCC figs, but they keep them mint and get bootlegs for display.

Of course, getting these over the originals is cheaper, but the resale value of the originals are much higher. For collectors who don't care about resale and really just wanna collect, then these are good choices.

I wonder if other brands will try to get in the SDCC hype train too. If others do, then I'll try to review and compare them if AngeloMarcus Greenhills gets them in stock.

  1. Too bad they couldn't wait for images of the originals' backs to surface before they produced these. None of their backs aren't accurate.

  2. I sell one custom printed onto genuine LEGO parts. Mine also has correct back print.
