XINH 941, 942, 944-948: Bricktober Minifigs Including War Machine, Bucky, and More MCU Minifigs Review

First previewed here!

XINH 941 - Groot
XINH 942 - Iron Man
XINH 943 - Falcon (CA: Winter Soldier)
XINH 944 - Wong
XINH 945 - Bucky (CA: First Avenger)
XINH 946 - Vision
XINH 947 - Winter Soldier
XINH 948 - War Machine

Only Falcon [from Winter Soldier 2014] left! Also, my Vision came with a spare cape, is this an isolated thing or everyone got two capes?

XINH 941 - Groot
XINH 942 - Iron Man

XINH is very generous with accessories. Groot gets a spare head and two vine/branch pieces while Iron Man gets a special nanotech shield and a blast piece.

Here's a closer look at the shield. Unfortunately, the print isn't aligned too well, especially when you look at the edges, but it doesn't ruin the fig.

For the minifigs themselves though, quality is great as expected. The plastic feels and moves well and the print is great as well.

Lots of details on the sides especially for Tony whose legs even have side printing. This is essential since they need to show how battle-scarred Tony is.

A look at the back. Thankfully, XINH was smart enough not to put an alternate face behind Groot's head and isntead provide a spare head. Tony also gets an alternate face that's normal; I would've preferred a face with a broken Iron Man mask on it to further show how damaged he was.

Now for two disappointing XINH figs.. I'm really hoping that this is isolated and that it didn't happen with you guys. Though before anything, Wong came with two magic pieces (without the handle pieces) and Bucky comes with a pistol.

So what's the issue? In case you haven't noticed, they came with the same arms.. so that's 4 right arms.. Thankfully, though at the same time not thankfully, the arms have no prints and are thus easily replaceable.

Nothing going on on the sides and it's partly TLG's fault since they designed these figs. Great news for people who might have defective arms though.. lol.

The back torso has back prints, other than that there's nothing really.

Here I replaced them with my spare arms. I doubt the spares I had were all from XINH but these were my last two loose spare arms. I could always tear apart another fig with dark blue arms like Cap, maybe, but I decided to just use loose ones.

Now for Vision and the White Wolf. Bucky aka White Wolf comes with the usual XINH rifles. Vision comes with a beautiful cape that we'll see more below.

Before anything, these two are really good. Bucky's face may seem a bit off, but I don't think it's too bad. XINH previously released an MCU Vision which I thought was the best back then, but seeing this now has changed my mind. (I'd still love to own all of them though lol)

A view of the sides. You see how nice Vision's cape is and Bucky's printed on metal arm. Other than that we have more side details that are also pretty good!

A view of Vision's cape! It's also got that shiny look on it which better reflects how he looks like in the movies! Some alignment issues here and there with the red and white elements for example, but nothing too major.

*UPDATE*
I keep praising the cape but it's reportedly not so durable. Be careful with playing around with it! To be fair, it's not the same cloth material we usually see with XINH figs and more similar to POGO's capes. I'd like to hear your thoughts and experiences with the cape!

While Vision still has that cape, the back still has pretty good back design! White wolf too!

Now for War Machine. XINH previously released another War Machine as well which many have preferred and I'll be setting up pictures side by side with this older one below.

So far this set has given me mixed reactions, and unfortunately this one doesn't make it better. More below.

Overall the qualit of the print and plastic is really good, but the way it was implemented, specifically the printing was not good.

First thing you notice is that the eyes are not aligned with the eye holes which is unfortunate.

Secondly, the whole torso print isn't centered properly because the other layers/colors do not align with the others, more seen in the chest reactor.

The sides have no problems as far as I can tell and XINH's new War Machine actually has more detail than the previous version.

Can't deny that I prefer the prints on the back armor for the previous War Machine though!

A great feature I, in my opinion, is how they added a HUD (Heads Up Display) for Rhodes with this newer War Machine. Tony got his own with his MK 50 and I'm glad that Rhodes got his own now. What's a bit bothersome is that the red looks like blood sometimes, though I guess we have no choice but to get that lol!

Alternate faces! I love the smug face on Rhodes! I can almost imagine him saying "Boom! You looking for this!?"

Mixed reactions with this set because of the arms issue and the War Machine print issues. I really do hope it's isolated with mine and that yours will be great. When I go back to AngeloMarcus Greenhills maybe I'll pick up another War Machine since I really love the design and I'd want a better quality fig.

  1. Bucky isn't from TLG and Bricktober Wong had side leg prints, so it's 100% Xinh's fault. Great review, though.
