LW Brand 218: Spider-Man Far from Home Elemental Bigfigs and Mini Builds Review

The bigfigs in the set come like this, unbuilt. Be careful putting them together because when I was building Molten Man, a part got stuck in between the two main pieces of the fig and it was highly difficult to remove it and fix the stuck part.

Nick Fury's face is so tiny, lol! General quality is passable but not really great. The plastic felt decent but it's not as smooth as other brands. The prints are at times decent but at times a bit faded like Fury's grey parts and even some blues on Spider-Man.

 Weird that one of the Spider-Man figures have no prints on the back.


The orange seems a bit different from the boxt art but maybe it's just a lighting issue on the box art.

 Molten Man gets a helmet (you'll see below) which has his face printed on it and a base head that doesn't have print while Sandman or Earth Elemental (but c'mon, that design is Sandman) has a printed base head (which means LW can print on normal heads). The hat LW gave him though is really weird. What's he graduating from??

 These are clearly Hulk bigfig molds which is made apparent by the shorts molds on them.

 I will be removing that graduation hat when I store this guy with my collection, lol.

Both of them came with these "weapons."

 Now for the Hydro-Man mech. That's his size beside bigfigs.

Molten Man has the same head design as Hydro-Man.

 He's basically a mech frame with various blast pieces attached to him. He does look like he's made of water!

 

 The back and sides do look weird which is understandable given the limitations of the size and number of pieces.

I think my favorite part about Hydro-man are his arms! They can even hold a minifig like this!

If Lego designed him, I wonder if they would've went a similar path.. (Probably not.. lol)

Are they worth it? Well I wouldn't say they're must-haves since there are already lots of variants out in the market but if you want a new bigfig design for customs or even out of curiosity, then these new head+helmet combinations might be worth getting.

In terms of quality, they aren't amazing but are definitely passable. I look forward to seeing more from LW. Hopefully they keep improving on quality and more importantly on design choice.

Personally, if you're just into the Elementals, XINH's Elementals are really good alternatives. I reviewed them as soon as AngeloMarcus Greenhills got them and I absolutely love them!
