WM WM720, WM721: Avengers Endgame Ant-Man and Wasp Minifigures Review

First previewed here along with some of the other, arguably best, Avengers Endgame minifigure variants.
I featured the other six Avengers in this separate post since those ones came out before these two.

WM720 - Wasp
WM721 - Ant-Man

I'll start off with the biggest problem these figs have: the helmets. More specifically, how silver prints arent as well-defined as we'd prefer to the point that there's not clear separation of the helmet from the eyes/visors.

I think this is due to the helmet molds being made of transparent red and transparent yellow molds respectively. No dual molding here. Unfortunately, the painting or printing of the silver color on the helmet isn't as great as we expected especially around the eyes.

But hey, maybe some of their releases have perfect helmets. I will definitely try to buy more from AngeloMarcus Greenhills since I absolutely love Ant-Man and the Wasp! (Kinda bitter we didn't get an announcement about them for the next MCU phase -_-)

Ant-Man came with those three pieces; these parts had issues with the grip which didn't bother me since I was just gonna store them anyway but might be an issue to others. No pistol for me though, unlike usual Ant-Man minifigures.

Aside from the issue with the helmet, the base minifigure is perfectly fine.

Some plastic deformities by the antenna.

Closer look at the not-so-defined helmet eyes/visor.

*Just realized that I didn't have a picture of him without the helmet. No alternate face was present and the face is different from the official Lego Scott Lang design.

I still like this fig. I'm hoping the eyes issue is isolated and that I find better versions out there. I guess that's one benefit of having a physical store like AngeloMarcus Greenhills, you can see the bags before purchase!

Now for Wasp. She comes with these accessories that didn't have grip issues unlike Ant-Man's.

Again, the base minifig is pretty good!

Closer look at the helmet.

The base minifigures are pretty good just like usual WM minifigures but I think we were really let down by the subpar helmet quality. The plastic molds were really great but the paint or print process [for unique molds at least] is something that WM should improve on. Let me know though if I'm just unlucky and your Ant-Man/Wasp minifigures' helmets are great!

  1. You need to get yourself a silver marker and fix them! I'm sort of glad they're all the same plastic, because it means they could use the ant-man mould to make quantum realm helmets in blue, although the quality would be better if they were dual-moulded.
