XINH XH1421: Fantastic Four's The Thing Maxifig Review

First previewed here. The rest of his teammates in the Fantastic Four were previewed here.

The Thing we're reviewing is the 3rd bigfig (from the left).

Before anything, just wanted to show you guys that the rock coating was applied to the arms separately as we can see with these internal portions being covered in the same rock style.

For the neck peg, it's not using the usual Technic pieces from LEGO and instead is just a plain peg. No issues for me though, it just might be worth pointing out for people who might want to customize these.

The cracks in between the skin are not consistent as you can see with the differences between the left and right arm. I kinda want to pick up another The Thing maxifig to see if they'll be the same or if they'll have different looks. 

The texture feels rough and is similar to the Korg maxifig from XINH, which we have a photo comparison of below.

Another reason I want to pick up another The Thing bigfig is to see if I just got a defective one because the head was too smooth. As you can see, no rock prints/designs on the head.

The texture on Sheng Yuan's The Thing (on the right) are much better in my opinion. 

On the right is Decool's The Thing and is probably my favorite shape among the bigfigs we're looking at.

On the right is Sheng Yuan's The Thing for the more recent Fantastic Four movie. Weird look, but the textures on that maxifig were similar to the first SY The Thing which also makes it look and feel good to the hands (other than the head..).

It's hard to explain the rock texture in words, but if you have the Korg maxifig from XINH (as seen on the left), you will know what I am talking about. Both are similar in terms of look and texture other than the colors. What I prefer about Korg though is that my specific maxifig's textures were more consistent and had less smooth spots.

I this The Thing maxifig worth picking up? I would say so if you're also picking up the rest of his team in the other XINH preview. Is he a must-have? Probably not, especially if you already have the other The Thing bigfigs you see above.
