Duo Le Pin DLP9126: Various Marvel Minifigures Review (Hydra Thanos, Killmonger, Iron Patriot, and More)

Lego Marvel Custom Minifigures on a budget. Includes Hydra Thanos, Killmonger, Iron Patriot Minifigures.

This set was first previewed here. As seen in the preview, they come with small race karts, but I didn't build them anymore because it's time-consuming and I didn't find the builds interesting. That's a personal opinion though, and the parts are highly appreciated.

Also, a highly similar set, DLP9122, was also reviewed previously. Minifig quality of both sets are practically identical, which isn't a good thing. Most of the designs are also repeats.

Plastic quality was decent for the most part and the prints are clear. Although, older DLP minifigures just look and feel much better than these. The biggest downside, however, is the lack of back printing. That downside is enough for me to be wary of future DLP minifigure releases.

I absolutely love that Iron Patriot design on the right, but the lack of back printing is such a deal breaker.

Of course, if you're just gonna display the front, this isn't an issue. But, with most popular brands doing back prints (and even side prints) at the same price, why isn't DLP doing it? This is unfortunate considering that DLP was the first minifigure brand I owned that did 360 prints (prints on the front, back, and sides).

Cap looks weird. As a variant collector, I like that he's a bit different; although, there are so many better Captain America variants out there.
PS4 Spider-Man is a great design, but since DLP is hard to find and these didn't come with back prints, you might as well check out PS4 Spider-Man from other brands. (We made this comparison post way back.)

For Captain Marvel, just go with Kopf's similar black suit neon Captain Marvel minifigure.
Nothing new with this Thor too.

Even Thor, which is an old and highly reused minifigure design, doesn't have back prints.

The helmet and armor molds of these two are great. I found no complaints about those. No fit issues and they felt sturdy.
Design-wise, they also look good. But again, no back prints. Plus, these two designs were already included in the other DLP set I mentioned above.

Lastly, each minifig comes with this small engine(?) piece for their race karts. They give you the classic pullback play function of toy cars.

Can I recommend these DLP minifigures? Not really, unless you like to collect every single variant of every character out there. Plus, even if I did recommend them, they're hard to find.
It's really unfortunate that DLP is going downhill, but I still hope that their next releases are much better. I'll try to review more DLP minifigures so we can keep track of their progress in quality.
