XINH XH1706: Captain America (Sam Wilson/Falcon) Minifigure Review Comparison with WM2164

Lego Marvel Captain America Falcon Sam Wilson Custom Minifigure
On the left is XINH's Captain America and on the right is WM's Captain America. Check out the full preview of XINH's The Falcon and The Winter Soldier minifigure set. We've actually reviewed WM's whole set.

Quality-wise, you can't go wrong with both. Although, my WM Captain America had some quality control issues on the wings (involving some red paint); I'm willing to bet most of their releases don't have this error though so we can look past that.

The thing that matters here will be design choices. While WM's Captain America has a lot more detail [on both the minifigure and the wings], it's a bit too detailed that putting it beside your official Lego Marvel minifigures might make it stand out too much (which could be something you like/dislike). XINH's Captain America, on the other hand, looks more like it can fit in an official Lego Marvel minifigure collection.

Again, WM has a lot more detail on both prints and molds. But, XINH's design is probably closer to what Lego will make (if not have him come with bulky, brick-built wings).

The proportions on XINH's Captain America Sam Wilson minifigure look more like Lego's, but I prefer WM's whiter head/arms. (White as in the costume, alright? lol) Falcon's Captain America costume has a lot of white and I feel like XINH went with a more dark blue look. Don't get me wrong, I think it still looks good, but it's not as accurate to the movie as possible.

Plus, I think a white-colored head with skin printed on it would've been better, similar to WM's. (Or just switch their heads if you prefer XINH's body.

Speaking of looking like something Lego would do, I don't think the sides apply because Lego rarely prints on the sides, lol.

Even with wing pieces, XINH and WM still printed on the back (including legs!).

Personally, I think I prefer the design of XINH's Captain America just because it looks like something Lego would make. The biggest issue of XINH's Captain America is the lack of white elements; I think that the new Captain America suit has a lot of white in its design and XINH didn't include a lot of it, even the head is a brown mold with white mask print (not covering the whole sides/back of the head).

But generally, you can't go wrong with either of these. Plus, you can probably afford to buy both and it'd still be cheaper than what Lego will release. (But, you should still try to get Lego's minifigure if possible and if you like the design; keep supporting!)

  4. Hi, It would look better with the wings reversed. The gap and pin would not be obvious and the wings nicely curved inwards protecting Sam. The feathers would flow outward and it has more blue nearer to the body. I made a video here to illustrate it, cheers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWnYSLN3e8g
