WM536 - Iron Man

From what brand is that Doc Samson on the right? Well, it's actually a MOC, my 4th ever MOC that I posted. (More details here.)
I was honestly surprised that it took this long for a reak Doc Samson fig to be released.

The plastic quality of the fig is pretty good, but I think some WM figs have been better. The print is also decent, but the colors could've been better: for example, the skin for the chest isn't the same as the plastic mold. Additionally, the arm prints are sadly just slapped on, and even the legs too. There's some parts of  No dual mold, sadly.

Glad to see some details on Doc's sides though! The legs specifically.

Times like this when you really take for granted the good quality of dual molded legs. Also, no alternate face.. Would've preferred an angry face too.

Sharpie can fix the slapped on arm prints, if not that, you could use the same arms I used on Doc Samson. Hyperion is a good option, just don't get SY's Hyperion because SY's arms are all red. The legs might be a bit harder to fix, maybe Sharpie can work too but I'm not sure if they've got that blue in the right shade.

As a side note, in case you want shorter green hair and longer than what I used on my MOC, you could check out WM's Nurse Joker.

Now for Banshee. On the right is POGO's. Quality wise, WM's might be better in terms of print and plastic, but the details on POGO's are more defined. That new hair piece for Banshee is also good news, but unfortunately there's a very visible plastic nub in the front for mine.

WM Banshee's stripes on the cape are brown and POGO's are black. Oh and of course, the cape of POGO's is the more traditional, accurate-to-comics cape.

Another view of the cape and the hair piece.

No alternate face for WM's. At least they included the shouting face which is much more fitting for Banshee

View of the back. Naked back legs (no prints).

Now for these three. Trickster has been released by Kopf already too, and that was also of good quality. The other two, Tony on the left and Bluebird on the right are seen in bootleg for the first time. That Tony seems to be the battle-damaged one, post-battle with Thanos. In terms of quality, these guys are okay. The plastic feels good, and the prints are also good, but I think that other WM figs in the past have been better. They are definitely not horrible though.

Sides. Great amount of detail for Tony's battle-damaged look.

Same for the other side. Trickster's arms have printed on sleeves, but they're actually just slapped on and it's just not too visible because it's yellow.

Great amount of detail on the backs too, especially for Tony.
No alternate faces.

Now for Killer Frost, Nightcrawler, and Tony Stark in MK V Armor. In terms of quality they're basically the same as the ones above.

While I love that WM included the tail for Nightcrawler, mine wouldn't stay straight. It was difficult putting it on the legs and even when already at the lowest part, it didn't stay straight. Additionally, and this is an issue for most similar accessories, the tail interferes with the torso-leg design, making a gap or empty space in between.

Good amount of side details for all three, but especially for Tony.

Basically the same for this side.

View of the back, no alternate faces.
Killer Frost's hair is coated silver and is kinda difficult to attach to the head, but nothing dealbreaking.

A good set from WM. I'd say they remind me of old POGO figs that were actually decent. I know WM can do better though, and I hope they really do. As for the designs, they're all great and I've credited them in the preview post.

I've got more reviews in store for you guys from AngeloMarcus Greenhills! Stay tuned!

  1. Tony is a Hobbybrick clone. Hope they clone more hobbybrick figs. They are very expensive.
