POGO PG8123: Spider-Man (Earth X), Citizen Steel, Huntress, and More Marvel/DC Minifigs Preview

First previewed here!

Disappointed in this set. I thought that POGO was on its way back to being [at least] decent, but they went with the not-so-nice printing again. More below.

Before anything, here's Red Hood, Citizen Steel, and Valkyrie. Pistol for Red Hood and sword for Valkyrie.

PG1518 - Red Hood
PG1519 - Citizen Steel
PG1520 - Valkyrie

Red Hood also comes with this half coat.

Now don't get me wrong, the designs look absolutely great, but POGO's implementation wasn't so good. They chose to use the same old thick and blurry prints that they did before, but to be fair, it seems a bit better than last time.

And yes, Valkyrie's cape isn't red in the movie, but that's what we're getting.

Sides have the same issue in terms of thick and blurry prints.

Same story for the backs. No alternate face prints too, which is a shame especially for Valkyrie because her face looks off..

Bonus picture:
A reader sent this to me as well. Now that's a sign of poor quality control. Luckily for many local collectors here, we rely on AngeloMarcus Greenhills so we can actually see what we buy before we buy. Though for most of you guys who rely on online sales, this is just one of those risks we have to remember.. I guess we get what we pay for..?

In case you want another Citizen Steel though, don't forget about XINH's Citizen Steel! If you want a more accurate-to-movie Valkyrie too, then there's XINH's Valkyrie!

PG1521 - Spider-Man (Earth X)
PG1522 - Supergirl
PG1523 - Diana Prince (Wonder Woman)

Spidey comes with a web accessory and Amazon Wonder Woman with this sword. The sword seems similar to Heimdall's but not in gold.

For some reason, these guys, specifically Spider-Man seem to be of better quality than the ones above. While that grainy design is still present, the lines felt more defined and sharper than usual. It's somewhat present in Diana's design too, but the fact that it's green as opposed to its yellowish/goldish/brownish color in the movie doesn't make the fig too attractive.

A closer look at the grainy designs. Notice how Spider-Man's torso prints seem better than Supergirl?

Some slapped on sleeve prints here, just like from Citizen Steel above. Great to see side leg prints though!

Same story with the back.

In case you want a more accurate Amazon Wonder Woman, then don't forget about WM's Amazon Wonder Woman.

PG1517 - Huntress
PG1524 - Drax

No accessories for these two, surprisingly. A simple crossbow for Huntress and two knives for Drax would've been appreciated.

Moving on, notice anything weird? Other than the blurry and thick prints of course. Yeah, Huntress' headdress isn't a mask unlike what it should really be in the comics/cartoons. (More on this below.)
Other than that, these two are of the same quality as the ones above, which doesn't mean good.

Side leg prints are appreciated but I wish they weren't so poorly printed.

View of the back.

No alternate faces for any of the figs in the set.

A closer look at Huntress' headdress. It's practically identical to Kopf's Scarlet Witch (which I actually prefer over WM's Scarlet Witch). Unfortunately, this really isn't accurate to Huntress' design, and so I recommend checking out WM's Huntress in case you missed it too. I'm sure completionists would appreciate this differently designed Huntress though, as well as MOCers.

  1. Terrible print, I am glad I have seen real photo on ali before I bought anything.

If I would receive that badly printed figure I would have requested a refund for sure.

May I ask, what is an average price for such figures in that store? Under 1usd?

  2. That Huntress looks rare... Seems like you got the Scarlet Witch mold instead of the Huntress' which I got correctly.
