LeWan 2027: Marvel's Black Widow Minifigures (with Red Guardian and More) Review

As with my other upcoming reviews, I'll just be looking at the minifigures since I don't have a lot of time in my hands these days. :(

The minifigures come from this set. The motorcycle builds are interesting and look like something that the Marvel comics SHIELD can really have.

It's also worth noting that four of these minifigures appeared in this Black Widow mechs set

Let's start with these two Black Widow minifigures. The face prints look off, but they're well-printed at least. In fact, I think the print quality on these are great. Design-wise, it's not amazing though. If you want these Black Widow variants, I recommend just checking out the ones from KORUIT or XINH; in fact, I think LeWan just copied those designs.

Plastic quality felt good too! Probably even better than the recent DLP minifigures, which is surprising and saddening to say.

Another reason not to pick up LW2027: they don't have back [and side] prints. Again, more and more China-focused brands are doing this which is really unfortunate. Thankfully, the usual international Lego-compatible minifigure brands are still doing back and side prints and have actually been improving as well.

The Winter Soldier x Captain America design is probably ripped off of KORUIT's design again; if you want that design, KORUIT's has more details. This Iron Man is also a weird variant of the MK 50; like many other cheap China-focused minifigure brands, they didn't print on the helmet's chin.

At least Tony's face doesn't look that off.

This is the first knockoff Lego Red Skull minifigure of this variant that I have seen. Unfortunately, like the others in the set, it doesn't have back printing so getting the original Lego Red Skull will still be a good option. Taskmaster is also a rip-off of Lego's design, but like the others, just check out XINH/KORUIT for a more detailed Taskmaster minifigure.

Now for the two super soldiers. The helmets kinda look too curvy, but it's not too bad too. Print quality is good, but the designs are lacking. If you're desperate for a Red Guardian minifigure but can't afford the SDCC variant, I made a comparison post to see which one is best (among Lego, XINH, and KORUIT).

This Captain America variant is also new, or probably looks new, just because it has a lighter blue color instead of the typical dark blue.

The faces don't look as good, but the helmets cover them up at least.

In terms of just the quality of printing and plastic, LeWan is pretty decent. If they end up creating better and more unique designs, they can probably compete with the leading minifigure brands. They'll also need to be more accessible though since they're not as widely available outside of China compared to XINH or KORUIT.

For Marvel collectors, my easy recommendation is to just pick up the XINH or KORUIT variants; those are much better. This review is really just here to serve as a guide for LeWan quality; at least now, we know that LeWan has decent print and plastic quality.
